Update coming soon

I just received a a huge lot of poscards (nearly 300 or so) through eBay. There are quite a few topicals & many, many city views. At the moment I am sorting through & organizing them by topic & country. I will scan some of the most interesting ones & post an update soon...hopefully over the weekend.

I am expecting to receive more cards in the next couple of weeks as well!

Look forward to.....

Egypt

One of my favorite subjects in school was history - specifically Ancient Egyptian history. So naturally I have started a collection of postcards from Egypt! Here are just a few from my collection. Most of my cards from Egypt are vintage & show some wear so a lot of my favorite views didn't scan very well. Here are a few that were willing to cooperate....

Giza - The Great Sphynx & Kheops Pyramid

Luxor - Amon Temple

Luxor - Statues of Memnon

Cairo on the Nile

Cairo Citadel & Mohamed Aly Mosque

Cairo - Tahrir Square

Cairo - Nile Hilton Hotel

Native Americans

Here are a few vintage Native American postcards from my collection.

California Missions

One of my favorite places to visit in California are the Missions! There are 21 Missions along the California coast that span from San Diego in the south up to Sonoma in the north. My family & I have visited I think 5 or 6 so far. Our latest visit was over the Thanksgiving holiday here in the US, which we spent in San Diego - so naturally we visited 2 of the missions there - San Diego Basilica & San Luis Rey. The other missions we have visited are: Mission Santa Ines, Santa Barbara, San Carmel, & of course Mission San Juan Capistrano (which is local to us here in Orange County).

Now here are some postcards in my collection depicting the California Missions:
